Making Holiday Toy Dreams Come True

holiday toy of 1983 cabbage patch kidsThe Cabbage Patch Kid my grandmother gave me for Christmas when I was a kid was one of those right place, right time stories.  It was that Christmas 1983, when you could not find a Cabbage Patch Doll anywhere. It was THE hot item that year – the one everyone wanted and no one could get. And my grandmother happened to be on a cruise in Europe that November and spotted a mob of grannies from her ship in line at a gift shop in Spain and discovered – holy cow! – a fresh crop of Cabbage Patch Kids that everyone wanted. She got one for me and my brother. And she talked for years about almost coming to blows to get the last girl one for me.

Every year there is that one hot items that grannies and grandpas and mom and dads will fight over. Other the years it changes. 1996 was Tickle Me Elmo. 1998: Furby.  2000 was the Razor Scooter. And 2013-14 was ANYTHING from Frozen if you were lucky.

tickle me elmoAnd do you know what every popular holiday toy for the last 20+ years has in common? Marden-Kane gave one away that year in one of their client’s promotions.

Yep. Santa may live in the North Pole, but Marden-Kane has made holiday wishes come true when no one else could.

The big Wii shortage of 2008 almost made my kids lose their faith in Santa – until he magically appeared with one that night! How? Marden-Kane’s magical ability to pre-buy popular toys before the holiday season means that when Santa needed a hard to find item he had to look no further than the surplus we pre-stocked in the MK warehouse.

So if you want a hard to find item this year to give away in your promotion, contact us. Let us do our magic.
