Mother’s Day Promotion Ideas

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and it’s a day to remember to say “thank you” and appreciate the wonderful mom in your life (whether it is your mother, your grandmother, your wife, or a motherly figure). Here are a few promotion ideas to help celebrate your Mom or that special woman in your life – she deserves it!

Mom’s Best Advice Twitter Sweepstakes: Your Mom is one of the first people that you turn to when you have a problem, because let’s face it – moms give some pretty good advice! Ask people to share the best piece of advice their mom has given them on Twitter (in 140 characters of less) and include a hashtag (such as #bestadvice or #thanksmom). Give away something that the winner can share with their mom (such as a restaurant gift certificate or gift card to take her out to dinner) to say “thank you” for always being there.

Mom’s #1 Fan Photo Sweepstakes: My mom drove my brother and I to what seems like an endless number of soccer games, track meets and tennis matches – and was always in the stands to cheer us on. Ask people to share a photo either on Instagram or Twitter that demonstrates how their mom has supported them over the years (or demonstrates a reason why you are her number one fan!) and include a designated hashtag.

Mother’s Day Wish List Pinterest Sweepstakes: Create a Pinterest Board and include some of your products that would make a great Mother’s Day present. Then ask people to create their own Pinterest Board with a specific title and pin the products that they think their mother would love to receive, and give products away to some lucky winners (who will have an awesome gift for their mom this year)!

Mother’s Day Getaway Contest: Offer your customers the opportunity to give their mom the ultimate gift for Mother’s Day – a relaxing weekend getaway! The Grand Prize can be a trip somewhere warm to beat those winter blues, or a tranquil spa retreat for two. Create a microsite and ask people to submit a brief statement/essay on why the mom in their life is their inspiration for a chance to win.
