Facebook Advertising Made Easy

fb

Unlike traditional media, Facebook advertising reaches the exact audience you want. Facebook holds a plethora of information from where we live, who our friends are, what we Like and don’t Like, what we look like, how old we are, how old our kids are, what we like to do on vacation, what movies we watch, and so much more…

→    What to know before getting started

Facebook advertising is classified by: ad campaigns, sponsored stories, as well as promoted posts.

Ad campaigns allow you to choose the location, gender, age, likes, interests, relationship status, workplace, and education of your target audience. You may also target your ad to people who are already connected to you.

Sponsored stories are a type of ad that shows people’s interactions with a Page, app, or event. When someone interacts with your Page, app, or event it creates a story that their friends may see in News Feed. Sponsored stories are a great way to increase the number of people who will learn about “you” through the actions of their friends.

Promoted posts are an easy way to get more people to see your posts. A promoted post will appear higher in the News Feed, so there’s a better chance your audience will see them. There are two ways to promote a post: from your personal account and from your Facebook Page. You can promote any post you share from your News Feed, profile or Page, including status updates, photos, videos, questions, and offers.

→    What’s your goal?

Achieving more page Likes, new users, increase attendance at an upcoming event, etc…  Once a goal is set make sure your ad includes a clear action you want your audience to take. Next you will choose your budget and pick a bidding option between CPM and CPC.

→    Ad Management

Once your ad is created it’s important to regularly monitor performance and suggested bid price in the Ads Manager. Doing this will give you information about what’s working for your audience and allow you to make changes where necessary in order to achieve goals.

A Facebook ad campaign is a terrific way to increase entries and get your sweepstakes, contest or other social media promotion to go viral. To find out more about what kind of ads work, visit our blog about increasing exposure to your sweepstakes with advertising.

Remember: If you administering a promotion on Facebook you are responsible for the legal operation of that promotion. This includes the official rules, offer terms, eligibility requirements, and compliance with regulations.
